ACC Round 3 on Saturday.

Grumpy - 3 November 2011

On Wednesday there were 2 tight games at West Beach/ Adelaide Shores. Rebels triumphed over the Magpies, who led early, but the experience of the Rebels and a 3 run 5th inning was enough! The smiling assassin, Katie Bartlett got a big one out, to answer Kelsey Knuckey's long rip down the left field line for a triple. Vanessa Stokes, looking good after her Starz triumph, looked about "several yards faster" than her last outing here to control he Magpie bats. Nicolle Priess started well on the mound but tired later. Cats held on to defeat Eagles by a solitary run. Eagles were unable to convert runners into runs! The next round on Saturday pits Rebels against Magpies - in the words of that great Yankee catcher - it is deja vu all over again! Last years finalists clash at 4.00 - Falcons and Cats, with Starz players returning, and Tigers and Eagles, with both keen to get some early points. SEE TABLE HERE
